Spring Grove Schools went through the Profile of a Graduate Community input process starting the year of 2020. From this information, we outline five competencies that are most highly valued by our community, parents, staff, and students. In the 2020-2021 school year we created and piloted progressions to support these competencies by researching competencies from across the nation. We adapting wording of the rubrics from feedback from students and parents in pilot classrooms. In 2021-2022, we have implemented using the competencies in all the classrooms K-12. Kindergarten - Sixth grade students and teachers are using these to support student social/emotional growth. They give feedback and guide students and will be reporting out on growth on the report cards and will be discussing in conference. Seventh - Twelfth grade students will record evidence to support their growth on the progression on their Career and College Ready Portfolio and Redefining Ready Cover Page.
