Spring Grove Marching Band (8th-12th) is a fall marching band season that encompasses rehearsals during band class in the spring, August band camp rehearsals, and ends the last weekend of September. ALL band students 8th-12th are required to participate in Marching Band. It is possible, but rare, for special arrangements to be made with the director. Marching band should not deter students from registering for concert band. Students in band should plan on committing to the marching band schedule, preparing the required music, and learning the marching skills to have a successful marching band experience.
The Spring Grove High School Marching Band is one of the biggest advocates for the Spring Grove community. We are proud to represent Spring Grove!
Colorguard is an integral part of the Marching Band. Students who wish to be involved in these groups should be able to commit to extra rehearsal. Contact Colorguard instructor Alisha Solum at 507-450-7961 if you would like more info about Colorguard.
*REQUIRED Marching Band attire: Pants, coat, overlay, hat, shoes, gloves, black socks. Shoes and gloves are purchased by families with payments (excluding uniform cleaning fee) being made to the SG Music Boosters.* See Spring Grove High School Marching Band Uniform Policies and Procedures document.
