Grading Policy for Art Classes
Grading in art is on the point system. Each project will be worth 10 points for each class period spent on that project. For example, a drawing that takes one class period is worth 10 points, a sculpture that takes 8 class periods will be worth 80 points and so forth. You will be given sufficient time in class for each project. Any work turned in late will be docked points. All projects are required to pass the class.
The grade cutoffs will be as follows:
All tests, projects and daily work will be graded on this point system. Tests as well as daily work will equal 25% of your grade, and projects will be worth 50%. Daily classroom behavior will be taken into consideration in the grading process. Staying on task, obeying the rules of the art room, and work ethic will also factor into the grading process.
